Owners can change a member's role, deactivate them or remove them from Settings > Team in the Team members card.

Who can do this: Owners only. You cannot change the role of, deactivate or remove yourself. A team must always keep at least one active Owner.

The Team members table

The table has the columns Member, Phone number, Role and Status. Status shows You, Active or Inactive.

Change a role

  1. Go to Settings > Team.

  2. In the Role dropdown on the member's row, choose Owner, Service Manager or Technician.

Deactivate a member

Deactivating stops a member from using your team without deleting them. You can bring them back later.

  1. Open the member's actions menu (the three dots, labelled Member actions).

  2. Select Deactivate user.

  3. Confirm. The message says "Are you sure you want to deactivate team member? You can activate the user later."

A deactivated member does not use a seat.

Reactivate a member

Open the actions menu on an inactive member and select Reactivate user. Reactivating needs a free seat.

Remove a member

You can only remove members who are inactive. Deactivate the member first, then open the actions menu and select Remove user. Confirm the message "Are you sure you want to remove team member? This action cannot be undone." After removal, the person's phone number and email can be invited again.

Good to know

  • Your own row has no actions menu and a fixed role.

  • Service Managers see all team jobs but cannot open Settings > Team or manage billing.
