To start a chat, open Chat, type your question in the box that says Ask Iven anything... and press Enter or click Send.
Who can do this: Any team member, when your team has an active subscription.
Open Chat from the navigation. The home screen says "Hi" with your first name and "How can I assist you today?"
Optional: under Select a brand, click a brand logo. Then pick a model from the model list. See "Choose or change the brand and model".
Optional: once you pick a brand, quick prompt chips appear: Manuals lookup, Diagrams lookup, Triage symptoms, Search tickets, Parts breakdown and Parts lookup. Click one to put starter text in the box. It does not send until you do.
Type your question in Ask Iven anything...
Press Enter, or click Send (the arrow button).
While Iven works, you see Thinking... and the answer appears as it is written.
Good to know
You do not have to choose a brand or model first. Iven can also ask you with option buttons, or find the unit from a serial number or nameplate photo.
To start a new line without sending, press Shift+Enter, Ctrl+Enter or Cmd+Enter.
Press the up arrow key in an empty box to bring back your last sent message.
You can send one message at a time. The box and Send are disabled until the answer finishes.
Unsent text is kept for each chat while you move around the app.
On a phone, tap My chats on the home screen to see your chat list. On a computer, chats are listed in the sidebar under Conversations.
To chat about a job, open the job and use its AI Assistant tab.
