Click a manual in the Manual library to open its details, then click Download manual or Open in new tab. The file opens in a new browser tab. The library has no built-in PDF viewer.

Who can do this: Any team member who can see Manuals.

  1. Click Manuals in the navigation and find your manual (see "Browse and search the manual library").

  2. Click the manual's row. A panel slides in from the right.

  3. Click Download manual in the file card, or Open in new tab near the title.

You can also download without opening the panel. Hover over the row, click the three-dot menu (Manual actions) or right-click, and choose Download manual.

What the details panel shows

  • The title, brand and model.

  • Created by, Date Uploaded, Location, Manual type, Unit type (if any), Document ID and Variant (if any).

  • The file name, description and file size, plus the Download manual button.

  • A Help us improve box with a Suggest a change button.

Click Close to leave the panel.

Good to know

  • If a manual is marked PDF only, you can still open and read it. See "What does PDF only mean?".

  • You can also open manuals while chatting: click Open manual in an answer's sources, or the Manuals button in the chat header.

  • You cannot upload your own manuals in the Manual library. Contact Aiventic support if you need a document added.

Troubleshooting

If you see Failed to load manual details., close the panel and try again. If it keeps failing, contact Aiventic support.
