Your chats are listed in the sidebar under Conversations. You can search them, rename a chat or delete it. Chats are listed per user, so you see the chats you started.
Who can do this: Any user, for their own chats.
Find a chat
On a computer, use the sidebar. On a phone, tap My chats on the Chat home screen.
Type in the Search box at the top. It searches the text of your messages. You see Searching... and then results, or No results found.
Click a result to open that chat at the matching message.
A new chat shows as New chat with a spinner until it is created. A spinner on a row means the chat is still syncing.
Rename a chat
Hover over the chat in the list and click the three-dot menu. You can also right-click it, or press and hold on a phone.
Click Rename chat.
Type the new name and confirm.
If you see Couldn't rename chat. Please try again., try again.
Delete a chat
Open the three-dot menu on the chat.
Click Delete chat.
In the dialog, read Are you sure you want to delete this chat? This action cannot be undone. and confirm.
Note: Deleting a chat is permanent.
Troubleshooting
If you open a chat that was deleted, you see The chat you are trying to open does not exist. Click Start a new chat, or Select an existing chat on a phone.
