The ServiceTrade integration connects your ServiceTrade account to Aiventic. Aiventic pulls your ServiceTrade jobs in so Iven can triage them, and it can optionally post the AI service plan back to ServiceTrade as a job comment. In Aiventic the card is labelled Service Trade (with a space).

What you can do with it

  • See your ServiceTrade jobs in My Jobs without typing them in.

  • Get an AI-generated service plan (triage) on those jobs.

  • Optionally send the service plan back to the matching ServiceTrade job (see Write-back below).

What syncs

Aiventic reads this from ServiceTrade:

  • Jobs, including job number, status, type, description and scheduled and completion dates.

  • Appointments, including the appointment window and the technician on it.

  • Customers (companies), contacts and service locations.

  • Equipment at each location, such as manufacturer, model and serial number.

  • Technicians (ServiceTrade users) and service requests.

  • Parts used on jobs, with quantities.

Aiventic reads job summaries and notes to fill in details such as symptoms and equipment. It only writes to ServiceTrade if you turn on write-back, and then it only posts or updates a comment. It does not create or edit jobs, appointments or equipment in ServiceTrade.

Jobs sync automatically, starting from the Synchronization Start Date you enter.

Before you start

Who can do this: Owners only, with an active subscription.

You need three things, exactly as labelled in the Aiventic window:

  • Username

  • Password

  • Synchronization Start Date, in MM/dd/yyyy format, for example 01/31/2026

Ask your ServiceTrade administrator or ServiceTrade support for the username and password to use.

Connect ServiceTrade to Aiventic

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations.

  2. Under Available integrations, find Service Trade and select View integration.

  3. In the Connect Service Trade with aiventic window, enter Username, Password and Synchronization Start Date. All three are required.

  4. Optional: select Run test to check the login without saving it, then select Connect.

  5. When you see Integration successful, check that the Connection status is Connected, then select View integrations.

After you connect

  • Aiventic starts pulling jobs from your Synchronization Start Date. How far back it goes depends on that date. If you leave it blank, Aiventic goes back one year.

  • Link your ServiceTrade technicians to their Aiventic user accounts so jobs show up for the right people (see Link technicians to user accounts).

  • To connect more than one ServiceTrade account, use Add connection, give it a name such as "East region", and select Add.

Write-back

Write-back is off by default. When it is on, Aiventic posts the AI service plan as a comment on the matching ServiceTrade job after the job is triaged. If a job is triaged again (for example, a retriage), Aiventic updates the comment it posted earlier instead of adding a new one.

The comment starts with the line "AI-generated by Aiventic — review before acting on it.", followed by the service plan as plain text (formatting is simplified) and the disclaimer, if there is one. Aiventic writes nothing else to ServiceTrade.

Turn it on:

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations and select View integration on your connected Service Trade card.

  2. Switch on Write results back to Service Trade.

  3. Read Turn on write-back for this connection? and select Turn on write-back.

  4. Under Who can see these comments, choose Technicians (default) or Public. At least one must stay selected.

Choice

Who can read the comment

Technicians

Internal only, visible to your team in the field.

Public

Customer-facing. Your end customers can read it through Service Link. You confirm with Make these comments customer-facing?.

Note: Comments cannot be recalled once posted. Turning write-back off stops new comments, but comments already posted stay in ServiceTrade. Turning it on again resets the audience to Technicians. The setting is per connection, and changes apply immediately ("Write-back settings updated").

Troubleshooting

  • Connection test for Service Trade has failed or Integration failed: select Go back and check your Username and Password. Try again, then contact Aiventic support if it keeps failing.

  • No jobs appear: check the Synchronization Start Date and that your technicians are linked, then contact Aiventic support.

  • Could not load write-back settings. or Could not update write-back settings. Please try again.: refresh and try again, or contact Aiventic support.

FAQ

Is the ServiceTrade integration read-only?

By default, yes. If you turn on write-back, Aiventic also posts the AI service plan as a comment on ServiceTrade jobs. It writes nothing else.

Can I connect more than one ServiceTrade account?

Yes. Use Add connection on the card. Write-back is set separately for each connection.

How much history does Aiventic import?

Jobs from your Synchronization Start Date onward. If it is blank, Aiventic uses one year back.
